I would even go so far as to say that Neuralink is little more than a millennia old re-tread. The technological ability to brain interface with a computer has never been the problem, our willingness to embrace it has.
I don’t know if it’s just me but, Elon Musk looked somewhat terrified while giving his presentation about his “new” technological achievement, didn’t he? With all of his hesitation and stuttering it was difficult for me to follow his line of thought initially, I had to watch the video a second time. Whether he has always been a bad guy or simply just succumbed to mortal threats really doesn’t matter, he’s never been anything more than an unwitting front man. I did find his nervousness interesting though and more than a little telling.
In short, the Neuralink technology is just an easily digestible way for us to be introduced to the horrifying capabilities that “they” have actually possessed all along. Their only problem was getting us to both accept and desire it through operant conditioning plain and simple. How do I know this you ask? My answer is simply this, I know how capable the bad people are because I have been attacked by them. I have been attacked, by them, with technologies (both natural and supernatural) that very few people have neither seen nor heard of. Admittedly, the basis for my convictions are largely anecdotal but the rest ain’t too hard to figure out. Their “secret weapons” aren’t so secret to me anymore, having been victimized, injured and tortured by them (my mother’s murder notwithstanding).
